DOJ wants to commit Rock County man under sexual predator law
Probable cause hearing set for next week
A Rock County man will find out next week if a judge will let him back out into the public.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice has filed a petition under the state's sexual predator law to get Richard Isabell committed.
Isabell, 53, was convicted of first-degree sexual assault back in 1991. In 2003, Isabell's probation was revoked and he was sentenced to 15 years in prison in 2004.
The DOJ filed a petition on Sept. 25 saying Isabell was a sexually violent person and should be committed for treatment. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for next Thursday.
