MADISON, Wis. -

A Madison man was sentenced Wednesday for his role in a marijuana distribution conspiracy from California to Wisconsin, according to a state Department of Justice release.

Jeffrey Well, 34, was sentenced to four years of probation with 180 days of home confinement and 20 hours of community service each year of his probation as conditions of the probation.

The judge noted that Well cooperated with the government, turned over $16,000 in drug proceeds, has maintained a job, and has remained drug free since he was confronted by law enforcement, according to the release.

Well is the seventh member of the distribution network to be sentenced.
