A Madison man was sentenced Wednesday to federal prison for distributing heroin, according to a state Department of Justice release.
Aki Williams, 35, was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release, officials said. Williams pleaded guilty to the charge on Oct. 9.
The Dane County Narcotics Task Force received information in July that Williams was dealing heroin in the Madison area, according to the release. One of his heroin customers agreed to assist law enforcement and introduced Williams to an undercover officer.
The undercover officer bought heroin from Williams three separate times in July and August, according to the release. Williams was arrested, and during a search warrant, officers found a number of firearms at an auto repair shop in Madison that Williams dealt heroin out of.
