EDGERTON, Wis. -

A dog found dead in an Edgerton dog park died from multiple skull fractures caused by blunt-force trauma, according to a news release from the Edgerton Police Department.

Officers were called Aug. 31 to the area of Dog Run Park on Interstate Boulevard on a report of a dead dog found in the park.

Police found the body of a young male black Lab with a choke collar connected to a green leash.

The Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Lab was asked to determine the dog's cause of death.
