MILWAUKEE -

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a car that may have been involved in an apparent road rage shooting that hurt a baby girl.

A witness described the suspect vehicle as a maroon — or possible a darker red — newer model Lincoln MKS or MKZ four-door sedan. The car had dark tinted windows. No license plate information is available.

The shooting happened just before 4:45 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 43 in Glendale. Authorities say a bullet fired from the suspect vehicle struck and injured a 2-month-old girl while she was in her car seat. The baby was treated and released from a hospital.

The suspect vehicle was last seen exiting the ramp from northbound I-43 to the Hampton Avenue east exit.
