TOWN OF BRISTOL, Wis. -

A van with holiday decorations is the subject of a possible child enticement case under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said an 8-year-old was playing outside his home on Tartan Trail in the town of Bristol Tuesday afternoon when at about 4 p.m. a red minivan stopped at the end of the driveway.

The boy said there were two people in the van but they were too far away to get a description. One of the people gestured for the boy to come closer.

No words were exchanged and the van left the area when the boy walked back into the home.

The van is described as having stuffed animal-type deer antlers above the driver and passenger door and a red nose attached to the front of the hood.

Anyone with information on the incident or on who might have been in the van is asked to call the Dane County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 608-284-6900.
