Four people were arrested for operating while intoxicated in separate incidents in Grant County last week, according to a release. Two of the OWI incidents resulted in single-vehicle rollover crashes.
A Patch Grove man was injured in a single-vehicle OWI rollover crash Wednesday, officials said.
Crews responded to a report of a rollover crash on Highway 133 near Mulberry Lane in the town of Bloomington around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to a release.
Deputies said Devon Steiger, 23, was northbound in his 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 when he crossed the center line, went off the west side of the road, and rolled twice before stopping.
Steiger was transported to the Prairie du Chien hospital for his injuries, according to the release.
He was then arrested on suspicion of second-offense OWI and cited for operating left of center, failure to maintain control and second-offense operating while suspended.
A man from rural Platteville was injured in a rollover crash Nov. 7 around 3:55 p.m. on Highway B near Fountain Bluff Lane, according to the release.
John F. Petronis, 76, was traveling west on Highway B when he lost control of the vehicle, hit an embankment and rolled his vehicle approximately four to five times, deputies said. He was transported to Southwest Health Center for his injuries.
Petronis was then arrested for third-offense OWI and cited for operating after revocation and inattentive driving.
A Fennimore man was arrested for fourth-offense OWI after being stopped for a speeding violation early Wednesday morning.
A deputy stopped Mark Kussmaul, 52, for speeding on Highway 61 near Highway T and could smell intoxicants coming from the vehicle, according to the release. Kussmaul was asked to do field sobriety tests, and as a result Kussmaul was arrested for fourth-offense OWI.
A Texas woman was arrested on suspicion of second-offense OWI Monday after losing control of her 2007 Dodge Caliber and going through a fence.
Jennifer Boatwright, 40, of Abilene, Texas, was eastbound on Highway Q when she lost control and went through a fence around 10:30 a.m., officials said. The vehicle received heavy damage.
Boatwright was arrested for second-offense OWI, and cited for operating left of center.
