MADISON, Wis. -

A teenage driver injured herself and a Reedsburg man when she ran a stop sign Monday night, according to the Sauk County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said Cassandra J. Green, 17, of Reedsburg, was traveling south on State Highway 23 around 9:30 p.m. when she ran through a stop sign at the intersection with State Highway 33/23. She drove into the path of a truck traveling east on Highway 33/23 driven by Randy A. Tracy, 43.

After Tracy's truck struck Green's car, Tracy's truck rolled onto its side and Green's car ended up on the highway shoulder, deputies said.

Tracy had to be extricated. Both were taken to Reedsburg Area Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.

Green was cited on suspicion of failure to stop at a stop sign.

The Wisconsin State Patrol, Reedsburg Fire Department and Reedsburg Area Ambulance assisted at the scene.
