On Sunday May 25 2014, I came from work exhausted tired and just wanting to sit. When I walked up my driveway to my deck I couldn't believe my eyes, flowers everywhere! 7 flower boxes and planters and one hanging basket in my yard. Below is just one of the planters. My neighbors Sarah Erikson and Mike Erikson and their beautiful children and Archie and Penny Wilson had purchased and planted all of these beautiful flowers just to see me smile! I am such a lucky lady to have such good friends ! Not only did I smile on that day but everyday after.

Today , The Kid's House Family Childcare and J.Kinney Florist worked together to make a special giving day! The kids trudged through rain to meet up with Jane Kinney at her Florist shop on Monroe Street. Each child received one flower and then we continued our walk in the rain! Our goal : We gave all the flowers to the children who live at the Domestic Abuse intervention Service program on the near west side! It was a fun/wet day of learning...with big smiles from the D.A.i.S staff upon our arrival.
