1 arrested, 1 flees attempted robbery outside West High School, police say

MADISON, Wis. - One person was arrested and another is at large after an attempted robbery Friday afternoon in front of West High School, Madison police said.

Officers responded just after 2 p.m. for reports of an attempted strong arm robbery, according to a release.

The 16-year-old victim told police he was beaten up by one boy and another boy went through his pockets, but nothing was stolen.

The 15-year-old boy who went through the victim’s pockets fled the area and is at large.

The 17-year-old boy who beat up the victim was arrested on a tentative charge of physical abuse of child.
