1 shot, 1 injured in targeted home invasion, police say

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. - Two people were injured during a home invasion in Sun Prairie on Saturday night, police said.

Officers responded to a home in the 1000 block of Andrews Drive at 10:21 p.m. for a reported home invasion, the Sun Prairie Police Department said in a news release. The caller said at least three suspects entered the home, ordered the residents to the ground at gunpoint and demanded money.

One person suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and was treated and released at a hospital, police said. Another resident was assaulted and injured.

According to a release Sun Prairie police sent Monday, investigators believe this was an isolated and targeted incident, but it remains under investigation.
