Police investigate early morning bar burglary; seek woman's identity

JANESVILLE, Wis. - Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a woman from surveillance video of a bar burglary early Thursday.

The Janesville Police Department said officers responded to Bad Brads Bar in the 900 block of Rockport Road on a report of a belated burglary.

Police said someone forced entry through a window at about 4:30 a.m. Video in the business showed an unknown female breaking in and stealing money. The burglar then left through the front door.

The burglar is described as white, about 5 feet, 1 inch tall with a heavy build. She was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and possibly leggings. The woman also appears to have a word or design tattooed on her left wrist.

Police released three surveillance images of the woman, including an image of the marking on her wrist.
