Police: Man taken into custody without incident

JANESVILLE, Wis. - Janesville police were at the scene of a standoff for five hours Wednesday evening and a man was taken into custody without incident, according to police.

According to Janesville police, a report of a domestic incident came in just before 8 p.m. that turned into a standoff at a home. Police were told the man in the house on Mount Zion Avenue near Pontiac Drive was armed with a shotgun.

The man was taken into custody at 1 a.m. when police entered the home and found the man sleeping.

Police said they're reviewing possible charges against the man.
