Fitchburg Police arrest man in connection with armed robbery

Police: Suspect used knife to rob Popeye's on Fish Hatchery

FITCHBURG, Wis. - A 42-year-old Madison man has been arrested following an armed robbery at a fast food restaurant in Fitchburg late Friday night, according to Fitchburg Police.

The incident happened at Popeye's Chicken in the 2800 block of Fish Hatchery Road.

According to police, James Davis of Madison brandished a knife and demanded money before running away from the store with some cash.

Police officers located Davis a short time later and booked him into Dane County Jail on a probation hold, pending charges of armed robbery.
