Chocolate-flavored toothpaste is here (really)
Got a sweet tooth? Crest's 'Mint Chocolate Trek' may be for you
Got a sweet tooth? Crest is debuting a new chocolate mint-flavored toothpaste next week.
Mint Chocolate Trek ($4.99) will hit stores the first week of February, according to the dental hygiene giant.
"Got an adventurous spirit or a sweet tooth?" Crest asks in a news release. "Well, then this is the toothpaste for you. Now consumers can explore outside their boundaries, arouse their senses and energize their brushing routine like never before."
It's one of three new flavors in Crest's "Be" line of toothpaste.
The others are Vanilla Mint Spark and Lime Spearmint Zest.
Dentist Matthew Messina, a consumer adviser for the American Dental Association, told ABC News he has "no idea" whether the American public will embrace the idea of a chocolate-flavored toothpaste.
"What's most important is that people brush for two minutes twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste -- no matter what the flavor -- and I tell my patients to look for the ADA Seal of Acceptance when choosing their toothpaste," he said.
