MADISON, Wis. -

A 12-year-old Madison boy was taken into custody after reports of a boy pointing a gun at passing cars on the city’s west side, police said.

Madison police said they were called to the 5800 block of Raymond Road at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday and found two boys toss handguns into a bush near an apartment building.

Officers found the guns and determined they were BB guns.

Police said there were three boys in the group and the one who was pointing the gun was taken to the Juvenile Reception Center.
