JANESVILLE, Wis. -

Quotes Bar and Grill in Janesville has agreed to relinquish its liquor license effective Dec. 1, according to a release.

Police have been working on concerns about public safety, disorder and perception of safety at Quotes Bar and Grill in the downtown business district.

Police said video footage from Oct. 6 shows why Quotes is considered a "nuisance." In the video, a woman walks out of the bathroom and is hit in the head by a glass that shatters and cuts her.

According to the department, one weekend night in September every officer on duty was responding to calls at Quotes.

An Alcohol and License Advisory Committee meeting was scheduled for Friday where the police planned to present their evidence to the committee as to why Quotes should lose their license.

Janesville police said because they are still concerned for public safety at Quotes Bar and Grill there will be extra patrols assigned to the area until their closure.
