Bakery reopens after being closed for more than a year
Lane’s Bakery will continue to sell kringles, other baked goods
After being closed for more than a year, a popular south side bakery will be back in business Wednesday.
Lane’s Bakery is returning to the south side inside the Villager Mall. Workers put the finishing touches on the facility Tuesday.
They’re cooking up their famous kringles and treats, and making sure the new store is ready for customers.
“I do enjoy this. We’ve been putting in 14-16 hour days for the last three weeks and it’s well worth it,” Lane’s Bakery owner Chuck Lane said.
Lane’s will open its doors at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
