The autopsy results of Michael Upman, the missing Dodgeville man whose remains were found in a farm field Tuesday, have been released.
The cause of death was determined to be from a self-inflicted gunshot, according to the release. At this time, officials do not suspect foul play is involved but the investigation is continuing.
Upman had been missing from the City of Dodgeville for more than a month.
His body was found in a wooded area less than a mile from where his vehicle was found days before, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said a farmer in the town of Waterloo was mowing a pasture and contacted them Tuesday when he found the remains.
