Attendance at a southeastern Wisconsin historical site jumped 21 percent last year.
Officials at Old World Wisconsin say expansion of the site's Laura Ingalls Wilder days from a single weekend into a monthlong event, interactive Civil War events, cooler temperatures in July and a family-oriented Halloween tour helped boost attendance. School tour attendance also was up 19 percent.
Old World Wisconsin features dozens of historic buildings relocated from around the state. The site is located just outside Eagle in southeastern Wisconsin.
It's set to re-open to the general public on May 3.
