Armed woman robs convenience store of money, cigarettes, police say

JANESVILLE, Wis. - Police are looking for a woman who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint early Thursday morning, according to a release.

Janesville police responded around 1:30 a.m. to the Stop N Go at 714 Center Ave. for reports of an armed robbery, officials said.

The employee told police a woman wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, purple socks, thin black sweatpants and gray slippers robbed them at gunpoint.

The woman left the store in a westbound direction on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and Newport 100 cigarettes, police said.

She is described as black, 5 feet 3 inches to 4 feet 6 inches tall.

The employee was not injured in the robbery.
