MADISON, Wis. -

Police said a woman was charged with a second-offense OWI after she hit a pole on Madison's west side, reported the crash and continued drinking alcohol.

The Madison Police Department said Kimberly Keehn, 41, was driving on South Gammon Road Saturday at about 1:48 a.m. when she knocked down a light pole with her car.

Keehn walked from the crash site on South Gammon Road at the intersection with Gammon Place to a nearby business and reported the accident to store staff. Police said officers responding to the crash found Keehn in possession of open intoxicants and still consuming them.

Police said Keehn suffered minor injuries and her car sustained severe damage.

Keehn was charged with prohibited alcohol concentration, ignition interlock device violation, operating after revocation and not having insurance, in addition to the second OWI.
