Woman grabbed by neck, robbed early Thursday
Police say suspect stole cash; victim was not injured
A woman was robbed Thursday morning while walking near the intersection of North Eau Claire and Sheboygan avenues.
Police said the suspect, wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, grabbed the 58-year-old victim around her neck and demanded she hand over her personal belongings. The suspect also had what police called a "metal object" in his hand during the strong-armed robbery.
The woman gave the suspect cash and he fled. Police said the woman did not suffer injuries from the incident, which occurred about 6:20 a.m.
Police did not indicate how much money was stolen but said the incident is still under investigation.
