According to the Milwaukee police chief, a plant supervisor was gunned down while meeting with a disgruntled employee who then killed himself.
Police don’t know yet why the worker got a handgun and killed his supervisor.
Police Chief Ed Flynn says the shooter acted alone and did not target anyone else.
Flynn says the employee “developed a grudge against his boss” and acted out violently.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports 58-year-old George Hites of Milwaukee was shot multiple times Thursday evening at Trans-Coil International. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The shooter, identified as 23-year-old Thaiv Xiong of Milwaukee, was found inside the plant with a gunshot wound to the head. A handgun was found at the scene.
The plant shut down production after the shooting.
