Man charged after severed head found in trunk
Police: Man drove body to Milwaukee last week
Wisconsin prosecutors say the severed head of a Minnesota man was found in a car and other body parts were found in a Milwaukee home.
Twenty-six-year-old Kou Thao of Wausau has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide. He's being held on $1 million cash bond, and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 1.
The victim was 58-year-old Tong Pao Hang of St. Paul, Minn.
The suspect's brother-in-law told investigators the suspect and victim were in the basement of a Wausau home Wednesday when a gunshot rang out. The brother-in-law went downstairs and found Hang in a pool of blood.
Thao was later arrested in Milwaukee.
Online court records didn't list a defense attorney for Thao on Tuesday. A message left with the public defender's office wasn't immediately returned.
