MADISON, Wis. -

A man was arrested Monday afternoon on suspicion of several charges stemming from an incident in late November, Madison police said.

Donielle M. Calhoun was taken into custody at about 3:30 p.m. on Verona Frontage Road on the Far West side after a slow-speed pursuit, according to the report. Madison police spokesman Joel DeSpain said Calhoun was charged with multiple offenses including battery, false imprisonment and theft.

Police said on Nov. 22, Calhoun attacked his 45-year-old girlfriend, biting her all over her body, punching her repeatedly in the face and choking her. According to the report, he also stole her cell phone and keys after the assault. She was treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, including difficulty breathing following the choking and jaw pain from being punched, DeSpain said.

The victim told police she had been in a relationship with the suspect for a couple of months, but she knew him as “DJ Collins.”

DeSpain could not confirm Calhoun's age as he had given the police several different birth dates including June 15, 1971, June 15, 1977, and Jan. 15, 1980.
