MADISON, Wis. -

Madison police said they are investigating a robbery at a Walgreens store Monday night.

Police said a man with a scarf tied over his face kept a hand in his pocket as he demanded a Walgreens' employee give him "the money" just before the store at 4631 Verona Rd. closed for business Monday night.

No weapon was seen, and the robber grabbed cash from the till after coming around the counter to where the victim was standing, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.

Police said the robber fled on foot.

Police said the robber was described as a black man standing 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 140-180 pounds. He was wearing a dark green, waist-length jacket over a royal blue T-shirt, a black hat with brim worn backwards, a brown scarf and black jeans, police said.
