A man robbed a Madison Walgreens of OxyContin Friday afternoon, according to police.

Police said a man passed a pharmacist a note demanding OxyContin just before 2 p.m. at the Walgreens at 8302 Old Sauk Road.

The robber is described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150 pounds, with blue eyes, short light brown hair, a short light brown beard or facial stubble and acne scars on the face. He was wearing a yellow and black coat with black on the shoulders and down the sleeves to the elbow.

Madison police said they’re working with other law enforcement agencies on a string of similar crimes.
