(CNN) -- The United Nations General Assembly adopted a strong resolution Friday on Syria that expressed "grave concern at the escalation of violence." By a vote of 133 in favor, 12 against and 31 abstentions, it slammed the government's actions and criticized the U.N. Security Council's "failure" to deal with the situation.
