A 16-year-old Sun Prairie girl was attacked and robbed while waiting on a sidewalk for her father to pick her up, according to Madison police.
Police were called to the 1600 block of Fordem Avenue at 2:20 a.m. The teenager told police a man had parked in a nearby lot and approached her.
She said the man grabbed her phone from her hand and struck her in the face. He then pointed a gun at her and told her to run away, which she did.
The man is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build and short black hair. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
