A teen was robbed outside his house early Thursday morning on Madison's north side, and officers are trying to see if the suspects are connected to a nearby incident, according to Madison police.
The incident happened at 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the 4400 block of Jay Drive.
According to police, two men approached the victim outside his house, and one of the men wearing a red shirt pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded money.
The victim handed over a small amount of cash before the suspects ran away.
Police are trying to determine if the suspects are also connected to an incident that happened a few minutes earlier down the street involving two men trying to break into cars.
According to police, a mother and her adult son were inside their house when they heard the slamming of a car door. Police said they confronted three teens and asked them whether they were breaking into cars.
Police said one of the teens pulled out what looked like a handgun, pointed it at the two victims and fired several shots.
Police said no one was struck by the shots, and it was later determined the gun was actually a pellet gun.
Anyone that has any information about either incident is asked to call Madison Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.
