A teenager was injured when the driver of a car opened fire on him and another man with whom he was walking in Beloit.
Beloit police said the two victims were walking west on St. Lawrence Avenue at about 1 p.m. Saturday when a car approached and the occupants confronted the victims. The victims told police they didn’t know the men in the car and kept walking.
The driver of the car then fired multiple shots and fled north on Moore Street in their car, according to police.
A 19-year-old man sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg, requiring surgery. The other man, a 20-year-old, was uninjured.
The driver of the car is described as about 23 years old with a short faded-style haircut and no facial hair. The passenger is described as in his 20s with a stocky build, a well-groomed chin-strap style beard and mustache. He was wearing a royal blue ball cap, blue button-up shirt and a South Pole coat with the letters “PF” on the right chest.
The car is described as a four-door, full-sized automobile, possibly a Buick.
