A man suspected of burglarizing a Madison business and found with stolen property was arrested at gunpoint Sunday morning, according to Madison police.
Officers arrested Courtney C. Smith, 25, of Madison at Integrated Development Services at 815 Forward Rd. while responding to a burglar alarm at 5:39 a.m.
The business provides autism treatment services for children.
Smith had credit cards belonging to other people, a GPS unit, various awards cards and more than 190 quarters in his pockets, according to police.
Investigators found several credit cards were stolen from the wallet of a 54-year-old man the night before while he was at State Street Brats at 603 State St. The man said the wallet had been in his coat pocket.
Police said Smith denied any wrongdoing.
He was arrested on suspicion of burglary, receiving stolen property and on a probation violation.
Police are trying to identify the owners of the other stolen property.
