A member of the Sikh temple where the recent mass shooting took place was killed Wednesday night on Milwaukee's north side.
Dalbir Singh, 56, was closing up for the night at the food mart where he worked when a man barged in and tried to rob him, a member of the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin told WTMJ-TV.
Singh and two family members hid in a back room at the Harmony Food Store and were calling 911 when the man shot into the room, killing Singh.
"This is a very big tragedy," said Jhalman Singh, the victim's friend. "We have already (the mass shooting). We're not done about that yet and now another one."
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Dalbir Singh was not at the temple during the Aug. 5 massacre. In that incident, Wade Michael Page killed six people, authorities said.
Police are investigating the slaying and have not released specifics, WTMJ reported.
