Ryan swings into Milwaukee night before election

Paul Ryan has ended a five-state day of campaigning in his home state of Wisconsin.

Supporters packed a chilly airport hangar Monday night in Milwaukee to welcome home the congressman and Republican vice presidential candidate. As the crowd cheered, Ryan shouted: "We're going to do this. One more day."

Ryan says Wisconsin voters elect effective leaders who deliver on their promises. He says President Barack Obama hasn't done that and stressed Romney's five-point economic plan as a way to get millions back to work.

After the rally, Ryan flew home to Janesville, where he'll vote Tuesday morning.

The presidential race is tight in Wisconsin, where Obama won by 14 points in 2008. Republicans are hoping the state will back a GOP presidential candidate for the first time since Ronald Reagan.
