BELOIT TOWNSHIP, Wis. -

Two robbers wearing Halloween masks and carrying sticks robbed the home of two elderly residents Wednesday night, according to Town of Beloit police.

Officers responded to a home in the 3100 block of South Madison Road at 7:37 p.m. for a report of an armed home invasion.

The victims told police the robbers entered the home through the rear door and demanded money.  One of the robbers beat the man with a branch and the other took the woman’s billfold from her purse, according to police.

The man’s wallet was taken, the phone was torn from the wall and the robbers fled through the back door, according to police.

The victims said both men wore full-head masks.

The male victim received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit tracked the robbers from the scene.  Investigators believe the robbers had a vehicle parked nearby.
