JANESVILLE, Wis. -

Investigators are looking to identify a man involved in a series of gas thefts in Rock County, police said.

The Janesville Police Department released two surveillance images Tuesday morning of a man in a long-sleeved white T-shirt with dark sleeves, dark shorts, socks and sandals. He is wearing a ball cap and sunglasses. A maroon Chevy Cruze with an Illinois license plate is also pictured.

Police said the man is suspected of multiple gas thefts in Janesville and Milton. The Chevy Cruze's plate was illegally obtained and is not registered to the vehicle.

Police said during the commission of the thefts, the man kept his back to the cameras.

Anyone with information about the thefts or any other crime is asked to call Janesville police at 608-757-3100 or Janesville Area Crime Stoppers at 608-756-3663. People can also submit tips through a free app called "P3 tips," which is available in the Apple or Google play stores.
