MADISON, Wis. -

A man was arrested Tuesday after a guest at a Madison hotel alerted staff to a man who the guest said was viewing child pornography on a computer in the hotel’s lobby, according to Madison police.

Police said an employee at Baymont Inn & Suites at 4202 East Towne Blvd. told the man he couldn’t view that material in the lobby. They said the man attempted to close Internet browser windows before returning to his room but only minimized them.

Officers said they discovered 35 minimized browser windows with many of them displaying images of what appeared to be child pornography.

Police said the contacted Antwun L. Barbary, 39, in his room and he told officers he was viewing pornography, but that it was not child pornography.

Barbary was arrested on suspicion of possession of child pornography and a probation hold stemming from a 2007 arrest.

Police said that in that case Barbary was accused of exposing himself while lying in a skywalk at Meriter Hospital.
