Marshfield police say officers have made an arrest in the case of a pregnant woman who was doused with gas, punched and threatened.

Authorities said the 23-year-old suspect threatened to light the woman on fire, punched her in the stomach and tried to strangle her during a three-hour domestic ordeal Sept. 29.

WAOW-TV reported the woman tried to escape, but was unable to leave.

Police said the man had heroin on him when he was arrested.
