A Madison woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car early Sunday morning, according to Madison police.
Officers said the 21-year old stepped into the path of a car on West Johnson Street at 1:43 a.m. near Broom Street. The pedestrian was walking south on North Broom Street.
Witnesses told police the car was east on West Johnson and had a green light at the time the pedestrian was struck.
The driver, a 42-year-old Middleton woman, was cited on suspicion of first offense operating while intoxicated.
Police said the pedestrian was intoxicated. She was cited on suspicion of sudden pedestrian movement.
