Two parked vehicles were destroyed in a fire Saturday morning as the garage nearby was engulfed in flames, public safety officials reported.

Neighbors reported the fire at about 5 a.m. Public safety responders from the Dane County Sheriff’s Department, Cambridge and Stoughton fire departments were dispatched to the home at 210 S. Main St. in the Village of Rockale, Wis., where they discovered an unattached garage burning.

The Dane County Sheriff’s Department said a van and a truck parked nearby in the driveway were also in flames. The 2000 Dodge Caravan and 1991 Chevrolet Silverado were destroyed, the sheriff said.

The homeowners were asleep inside the home when neighbors called the fire in, according to the report. Authorities said the fire does not seem suspicious but remains under investigation.
