A 17-year-old boy died on Thursday and the cause of his death is under investigation.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office said Lodi police responded to the 300 block of North Hill Street Thursday about 8:15 a.m.

Lodi area emergency medical services personnel found Jacob Adler outside a home. He was not breathing.

Adler was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of Adler's death remains under investigation.
