A Manitowoc man was cited on suspicion of second-offense operating while under the influence after police said his vehicle crashed into a utility pole Sunday morning.

Police were called to the 3100 block of Lake Mendota Drive at 2:10 a.m. for a vehicle crash.

The vehicle driven by Jonathan K. McClary, 21, crashed into a utility pole, knocking it over, according to police.  McClary said he was drinking prior to the crash, according to police.

He and his passenger were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

McClary was also cited for deviating from a traffic lane.
