A Town of Oconomowoc mother is accused of killing her 10-week-old child.

The Waukesha County District Attorney's Office has charged 32-year-old Dana Hooper with first-degree intentional homicide.

Authorities arrested Hooper Sunday, the day her infant was pronounced dead.

Her husband, 33-year-old Kevin Hooper, is charged with failing to report the death of a child.

WTMJ-AM reported Dana Hooper is accused of stabbing the couple's 10-week-old daughter to death in their home last Saturday. Prosecutors said Kevin Hooper took his wife to a mental facility and reported her suicidal.

Dana Hooper is being held on $1 million cash bail. She's due back in court Oct. 3. Her husband returns to court Oct. 18.

The couple's other children, ages 2 and 3, are now under the care of a family member.
