DARLINGTON, Wis. -

The Darlington Police Department said a missing 14-year-old girl has been found in Kansas.

Police said Wednesday night that Adriana Andrade was found in Liberal, Kan., and is reported to be in good health.

Darlington police said Andrade had been missing since early Monday morning, and they believed she might have left Wisconsin with a man.

She is being detained by Liberal police while her family makes arrangements to drive to Kansas to be reunited with her, according to a Darlington Police Department news release.

Marcos Mermudez-Sanchez, 22, the man accused of taking Andrade away from Darlington without parental consent, is in Liberal police custody, according to the release.

Mermudez-Sanchez is being held by Liberal police on charges of obstructing justice, aggravated interference with custody and aggravated indecent liberties.

The Darlington Police Department said it worked with the Liberal Police Department to bring the matter to a close after tracking a cellphone used by Mermudez-Sanchez to Liberal, Kan., earlier Wednesday.

Darlington police said they were notified at 8:14 p.m. that Liberal police had found Andrade with Mermudez-Sanchez and took them both into custody.

Darlington police said Mermudez-Sanchez will remain jailed in Kansas to face local charges but will also face charges in Wisconsin. The matter will be referred to the Lafayette County District Attorney's Office for review and a final charging decision.
