Milton School District officials confirmed that the district's superintendent remains on administrative leave following a complaint.
An investigation into the complaint started last month.
Mike Garrow has been on paid leave since October after the school board informed him that a complaint had been filed against him. The district hired a Fennimore attorney to investigate the complaint.
District officials aren't sharing details on the complaint or whether their investigation involved other district staff or students.
Milton School Board President Rob Roy confirmed that the superintendent will be on leave with full pay and benefits through the rest of this school year.
According to the Janesville Gazette, since his leave started, Garrow has been paid a little more than $11,000.
In a letter to the school board last week, Garrow claims that the investigation was completed and that he was found not to have done anything to give cause for termination.
He went on to say that despite rumors, "I can share that I am not having, nor have I ever had an affair, not ever misappropriated any funds, nor have I participated in any immoral illegal activity. However, I am dealing with issues that are personal and will not go further in those reasons."
Garrow said he asked the district to allow him to remain on leave for those personal reasons.
Roy confirmed Tuesday that the district's investigation has been completed but wouldn't comment on whether Garrow was on requested leave or whether the board allowed him to return.
The board will hold a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to appoint an interim superintendent.
Currently three staff members are running the district in Garrow's absence.
