Marine recruiter charged with child porn, impersonation
Prosecutors: Man used personal email and Facebook passwords
A Marine recruiter who worked in the Green Bay area is charged with using information from his recruits to solicit intimate photos from their female friends.
Prosecutors said child pornography was also found on Sgt. Andrew Curran's home computer. The 27-year-old recruiter is charged with five counts of child pornography and two counts of misusing personal information. He's being held in the Brown County Jail on $100,000 bond.
Investigators said Curran told a potential recruit from Ashwaubenon that he was using the recruit's personal email and Facebook passwords for background checks. Authorities said Curran used that information to solicit the man's female friends for nude photos.
The Green Bay Press-Gazette reported a conviction on the charges carries a maximum 137 years in prison and fines of up to $520,000.
