FITCHBURG, Wis. -

A man armed with a gun robbed a Fitchburg gas station early Saturday, according to police.

The Fitchburg Police Department said a man displayed a gun at the PDQ on McKee Road at about 5 a.m. and demanded money from the clerk. The man fled the scene on foot, according to the report.

Police did not say how much money was stolen. No injuries were reported.

Police said the suspect is a black man about 6-feet tall, weighing 160 pounds, and between 30-40 years old. He was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt; green jacket; black stocking cap; and had a distinctive mole on his right cheek.

Police asked anyone with information on the incident to call the Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.

The PDQ that was robbed is located at 6208 McKee Rd. in Fitchburg.

Two Madison gas stations were also robbed Saturday morning; however police said they unsure if the Madison robberies are related to the Fitchburg PDQ incident.
