BRODHEAD, Wis. -

A 68-year-old man was injured when his small-engine aircraft crashed in a corn field Sunday near the Brodhead Airport.

The Green County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called at 10:38 a.m. on a report of a crash.

Investigators said Earl J. Bradford, of Fairview, Michigan, had been taking off when his aircraft stalled and came down in a corn field.

The aircraft sustained moderate damage.

Bradford suffered an injury but declined medical treatment.

The FAA and NTSB were notified will investigate the incident.
