Madison residents grill for peace

More than 60 grills arranged in the shape of a peace sign cooked up burgers, brats, chicken and more for the event hosted by Savory Sunday, a nonprofit organization that cooks meals for Madison's homeless every weekend.
The grill spaces cost $35, and extra food left over from the event was donated to Savory Sunday to use for future meals.
"People grill food out here, they eat, they have a good time, and then we go around and collect any food they would like to donate for Savory Sunday," coordinator Dave Lavelle said.
Lavelle said the donated food will last through April for the organization's weekly homeless dinner.
